A 2011-es Boston Marathon támogatására a New Balance kiadott egy szürke és egy zöld 574-es modellt, melyek meshből készültek.To commemorate the 2011 Boston Marathon New Balance has created two colorways of the classic 574. One has a grey upper with blue mesh and white inner lining, the other is a clear nod to Bean Town's Celtics with a green upper with hits of grey. Both of these colorways have BOS 2011 embroidered on the heel of them.
