| Taylor Momsen: 'I Quit Acting, Actually' Posted: 16 Aug 2011 07:20 PM PDT  Don’t expect to see Taylor Momsen returning to TV any time soon - or ever! “I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life,” the 18-year-old Pretty Reckless singer recently told Elle. Taylor, along with Jessica Szohr, parted ways with the hit CW drama back in May. As for whether she prefers writing, recording, or performing music, Taylor shared that she loves “it all.” “They're all very different. Writing is a very tortuous process, but, you know, I would say one of the most rewarding at the end. I love recording, it's a completely different mindset from being on tour. The show will follow “two men tasked with raising a 12 year old. If that broadcast sitcom concept sounds familiar, it's because you haven't heard the twist yet: The two dads are a gay couple,” the magazine reports. The show is also reportedly near a deal to sign Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan and his writer partner Michael Wimer. And then, we actually thought that it was a boy, but we stuck with the name Jordan because, you know, it fits both ways,” Kevin told the mag back in April. The drama will be directed by Steve McQueen (Hunger), while Chiwetel Ejiofor, who has appeared in Salt, is attached to star, THR reports. Solomon was a married, educated, and free man living in New York who moved to Washington, D.C. under the guise of receiving a job offer…until he was kidnapped and put into a slave pen. He was eventually freed thanks to the help of a Canadian carpenter who didn’t believe in slavery. |

| Reeve Carney: Jeff Buckley in Biopic! Posted: 16 Aug 2011 10:30 AM PDT  Reeve Carney has landed the coveted role of Jeff Buckley in an upcoming biopic, JustJared.com can confirm. The 28-year-old Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark actor will play the late singer, who died tragically at the age of 30 in a drowning accident. Production will begin in New York and Memphis in November. The biopic’s filmmakers own the exclusive rights to Jeff’s music and personal archives…and Jeff’s mother, Mary Guibert, has given her full support to the project. FYI: There are multiple projects about Jeff in the works - Penn Badgley will play him in another film. |
| 'Housewives' Husband Russell Armstrong Found Dead Posted: 16 Aug 2011 10:10 AM PDT  Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of Taylor Armstrong, was found dead at his home on Mulholland Drive in what’s reported to have been a suicide. Taylor is a cast member of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and filed for divorce from Russell last month. Sources tell TMZ that Russell hanged himself and was pronounced dead on the scene by the L.A. City Fire Department on Monday night. A suicide note has not been found. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Russell’s family and friends. |
